We have very good news!
We're very happy to communicate that we keep forward on our purpose of protecting the environment and this month we signed a new Derecho Real de Conservación .
This is Kelü Hualle, a 165-hectare property located in the municipality of Curicó, in the Maule Region, within a marked transition zone between the Mediterranean ecosystem of central Chile and the Chilean Valdivian temperate rainforest ecosystemthe latter being an extensive and significant biodiversity hotspot classified as Critically Endangered.
With the signing of this agreement, Fundación Tierra Austral now has a total of 17 Derecho Real de Conservación (DRC) agreementsprotecting more than 21,600 hectares of high ecological value land across central and southern Chile.
