{"id":254237,"date":"2026-06-26T14:34:49","date_gmt":"2026-06-26T18:34:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fundaciontierraaustral.cl\/?p=254237"},"modified":"2026-06-26T14:36:05","modified_gmt":"2026-06-26T18:36:05","slug":"sobre-cita-mal-atribuida-a-nuestra-directora-ejecutiva-victoria-alonso-en-paper-de-journal-of-environmental-law","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fundaciontierraaustral.cl\/eng\/sobre-cita-mal-atribuida-a-nuestra-directora-ejecutiva-victoria-alonso-en-paper-de-journal-of-environmental-law\/","title":{"rendered":"Regarding the misattributed quote attributed to our Executive Director, Victoria Alonso, in the paper published in the Journal of Environmental Law"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This Friday, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/search?q=jorunal+of+environmental+law&amp;oq=jorunal+of+environmental+law&amp;gs_lcrp=EgZjaHJvbWUyBggAEEUYOTIJCAEQABgNGIAEMgkIAhAAGA0YgAQyCQgDEAAYDRiABDIJCAQQABgNGIAEMgkIBRAAGA0YgAQyCQgGEAAYDRiABDIJCAcQABgNGIAEMgkICBAAGA0YgAQyCQgJEAAYDRiABNIBCDUzMzBqMGo3qAIAsAIA&amp;sourceid=chrome&amp;ie=UTF-8\">Journal of Environmental Law<\/a>, an academic publication of the University of Oxford, published an alert note, or Expression of Concern (EOC), regarding a <strong>quote incorrectly attributed to our Executive Director, Victoria Alonso.<\/strong>. <br><br>Specifically, Victoria Alonso was cited in the paper <em>Ecological legal fictions: land subdivisions, property and conservation in Southern Chile<\/em>which addresses the scope and limitations of the Derecho Real de Conservaci\u00f3n (DRC).<br><br>This erroneous reference is particularly sensitive both for our organization and for the professional integrity of our Executive Director, <strong>as it does not reflect her views on the implementation of the DRC or on the work carried out by Fundaci\u00f3n Tierra Austral.<\/strong><br><br>For this reason, we find it important to share this clarification and to communicate that <strong>we are currently working to make the appropriate corrections.<\/strong><br><br>As an organization, <strong>we welcome debate around the contributions and challenges of the DRC<\/strong>, as we consider it to be an effective and improvable tool.
