International Meeting on Conservation Standards
Tierra Austral took part in the International Meeting of Conservation Standards in Valdivia.
Fundación Tierra Austral took part in the International Rally for the Open Standards Methodology for Conservation, a global event organized by the Conservation Measures Partnership (CMP) and the Conservation Coaches Network (CCNet). These organizations work together to strengthen the planning and management of conservation projects around the world.
The conference is held every tour years, and this year it was held in March in Valdivia, which enabled members of Tierra Austral’s staff to attend. It brought together more than 150 participants from places like Portugal, China, the US, Chile, Colombia, and many more. The meeting brings together members of the global conservation community, where they share innovations, strengthen skills, and highlight the collaboration between CCNet and CMP. We loved being part of the conference, where we could learn and share new experiences!
The rally featured several plenary sessions and practical seminars were held that focused on the application of Open Standards in Conservation project planning. We found these sessions particularly interesting and relevant to our work.
