On Friday, September 4th, Camila Carrasco, Land Conservation Specialist at Fundación Tierra Austral, presented "Native flora protected forever" as part of the IX Native Flora Congress, an important event that brings together different stakeholders working on Chilean native flora.
In her presentation, she addressed the contribution of the use of the Derecho Real de Conservación (DRC) in central Chile and the main lessons learned from its implementation, since this is precisely the region registering the greatest losses of natural land cover in the country.
She also elaborated on the importance of consolidating a replicable private conservation model that can complement public efforts to protect biodiversity in central Chile, since this is precisely the region registering the greatest losses of natural land cover in the country
