An opportunity to share experiences, exchange knowledge, and build stronger connections!

On Thursday, June 11, we held the second edition of the discussion forum “A Seed for Private Conservation,” an event jointly organized by Fundación Flora Nativa, Vivero Pumahuida, Fundación Pangue, and Fundación Tierra Austral.

This gathering took place at Vivero Pumahuida, located in the municipality of Huechuraba, which opened its doors to provide attendees with an opportunity to build connections, gain a deeper understanding of the different conservation mechanisms, and share insights on the processes, benefits, and challenges involved in protecting threatened species and ecosystems.

To support this discussion, we were joined by distinguished speakers including Sara Larraín, President of the Metropolitan Region Sanctuary Network; Victoria Alonso, executive director of Fundación Tierra Austral; Manuel Dörr, owner of Parque Cuenca Andina (a conservation area located in the Maule Region and permanently protected through a DRC agreement with Fundación Tierra Austral) Jessica Osorio, President of the Yerba Buena Association (Coquimbo Region); and Rodrigo Sepúlveda, owner of a private property in the Ñuble Region.

As an organization, we are very pleased with the success of this event, which brought together nearly 30 people involved in environmental protection and conservation. At Fundación Tierra Austral, one of our primary commitments is to contribute to the protection of the diverse species of flora, fauna, and fungi that make up the Earth’s biodiversity. To achieve this goal, we believe that strengthening collaborative networks and partnerships is essential.

We continue working to protect and care for nature!
