Tierra Austral has developed a role of education regarding the In Rem Right of Conservation new agreement (DRC). In this regard, Tierra Austral is frequently called on by a range of organizations and landowners with questions about the growing private lands conservation movement in Chile and about using the DRC and Conservation Easements. In addition and with the goal of expanding the proper use of the DRC, Tierra Austral has spoken to a wide variety of public and private sector groups in both Chile and the United States, and are fielding an increased number of inquiries from conservation leaders from around the world who are interested in the In Rem Right of Conservation as a prototype for a private lands conservation mechanism in Civil Code countries. In order to promote understanding about DRC agreements, Tierra Austral has been involved in different efforts. In this regard, Tierra Austral's Directors are members from its inception of the Steering and Advisory Committee of the International Land Conservation Network and have been part of the planning committee for the ILCN Congress in 2017, and Diego Tabilo, Tierra Austral’s Executive Director, has helped to organize a site visit in connection with the Congress for the new European Land Conservation Network (ELCN).
